Hi my name is Penny Fuller I am the new 9-13 Project Worker in the Methodistchildren’s team. I am very excited about my new role and am looking forward to hearing about all the activities that are going on with our 9-13 year olds and how we make church relevant to this age group.

This is a new role within the Methodist children’s Section and I am approaching the role with enthusiasm, energy and an open mind. I am involved in a voluntary capacity with children’s and youth work at my Church Downsview Methodist in the Croydon Circuit. I am actively involved with The Girls’ Brigade and help run a Company at Downsview and I am a Leader at our Youth Club. I have experience of working with children and young people from age 4 to 18yrs. 

I am looking for opportunities to meet with Districts and Circuits who are working with 9 -13 age range and would welcome invitations to come out and meet you.
Meanwhile I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences on working with 9-13s, here are some questions to start you off:

· Do you work ecumenically in your area with this age range?
· Do you have any links with your local schools ?
· What activities and groups are run for this age range in your church or Circuit?
· Do you use Roots material, if so what are your thoughts and suggestions about this resource?
· Share with me your ideas and vision for 9-13s?
· Do you have a strategy for working with this age range,
· What resources do you use and what resources do you need?
