* * * Rob Redpath, Methodist Youth President Methodist Youth President 2006 - 2007

Hi, I'm Rob Redpath and I'm Methodist Youth President for 2006 - 2007.

During the year I'll be exploring issues that young people find to be barriers to faith, such as self-harm and drug abuse, and looking at ways that the church can meet their needs. I'll also be looking at how young people can make effective disciples of Christ in their current situations, and I'll be happy to talk about the changes in how youth participation is handled in the Methodist Church.

My verse for the year is Luke 9:60:

Jesus said to him, "Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God."
